The «Veterinary assistance» Project of the Charitable Foundation «Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv» provides professional aid to our companions. Cases of serious diseases, cases related to surgical intervention, vaccination against rabies and other infection diseases, chipping and clipsing animals, sterilization with the aim of accurate determination of their number – in all these cases, the intervention of specialists is required, also carrying out procedures directly at the places where the pets are or with the aim of evacuating them into stationary veterinary clinic.

Stages of the project

Veterinary assistance

1. Giving veterinary aid for pets, who has been looked after

- departure of specialized transport with specialists at the places of giving services;

- animals’ diagnostic;

- vaccination against rabies and other infection diseases;

- sterilization (if needed);

- carrying out procedures directly at the places (aid against external and internal parasites, using antibiotics, etc.);

- in cases of serious diseases – transporting pet to stationary veterinary laboratories.

2. Giving veterinary aid for homeless pets

- departure of specialized transport with specialists at the places of giving services;catching stray animals;

- vaccination against infection- diseases;

sterilization;

- identification;

- giving pets back to their area of living or shelters (if it is possible).

3.Organization of veterinary aid

- selection of a specialist contracting veterinary organization through a tender process.

4. Intermediate control

- photo and video recording of each case of giving veterinary aid and subsequent storage on Google Drive;

- humanitarian aid blank sheet (we record the full name, passport number and other data of each aid recipient with his signature).

5. Risks and dealing with them

- risk of the impossibility of veterinary organization providing their services – replacing the organization through a tender process.
