Mine Safety: Educating Children with Hearing Impairments
At Mykolaiv Special School No. 6, where children with hearing impairments study, specialists from the Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation conducted a mine safety lesson. Through interactive games, quests, and engaging activities, they delivered essential safety information to the students.
"This is not our first meeting. The training is incredibly engaging, with well-structured materials tailored to different age groups. Our guests know how to connect with children and effectively communicate such critical information. They always bring visual aids to make learning even more accessible," shared Iryna Selivanova-Zerkal, Acting Director of the school.
As part of the Project on Protection and Socio-Psychological Support for Children and Their Parents, implemented by the Ukrainian Educational Platform in collaboration with the Network of Support Centers, and funded by the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF) with the support of UN/OCHA Ukraine, 4 505 people received assistance from July to December last year. The initiative covered Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions.
