Shelling in Kharkiv: Our Rapid Response Team Came Under Fire
Last night, members of our Rapid Response Team came under fire while responding to yet another strike site in Kharkiv.
"Two people from our foundation were working that night. We always try to send at least two team members to such calls. There was initial information that the strike hit near a residential building, but upon arrival, it turned out the impact was in an industrial zone — just 15–20 meters behind a fence from residential housing. In such cases, we usually inspect the area, assess the damage, and determine what’s needed for sealing or repairs. If necessary, we provide first aid, evacuate people to safer areas or shelters if available, and assist emergency services or volunteer groups," said Denys Hrushka, Head of the Rapid Response Team at the charitable foundation Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, around 12:30 a.m. today, Shahed-type drones struck the city, causing fires in warehouse buildings and garage units. Eight private houses and one apartment building were also damaged.
