Access to Knowledge: Lessons for Schoolchildren at the Kharkiv Hub
English, Ukrainian, and history lessons—these are the classes organized for children by the charitable foundation Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv in partnership with People in Need.
Five times a week—on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday—children aged 6 to 17 study at our Kharkiv hub located in the Oleksiivka district.
The lessons are primarily intended for students who, due to hostilities and the loss of their homes, cannot attend their schools and need additional educational hours. The classes also accommodate children with special educational needs, requiring specific attention and support, as well as those whose knowledge levels need improvement.
Support at our hub is available not only for children but also for families affected by the war who need additional resources for their children's education, as well as for parents and guardians who require informational and psychological assistance.
Importantly, a professional psychologist works with the children, their parents, and guardians at the hub.
Providing quality education to children is crucial because it is their future. Unfortunately, in frontline regions, students cannot receive a full-fledged education. Together with our partners, we strive to ensure that every child has access to knowledge.
