Zaporizhzhia Region: Raising Mine Risk Awareness

We teach residents of Zaporizhzhia region how to stay safe around dangerous objects. The charitable foundation Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv has launched a mine risk education project in the region.

Since mid-March, our specialists have been holding awareness sessions in various settlements across Zaporizhzhia region. The first session was held in the village of Stepove, Stepnohirsk community, on March 19 and was attended by 11 beneficiaries.

On March 25, we conducted two sessions in the town of Stepne – specifically for children and teenagers – reaching a total of 119 participants. We also held sessions in Vilniansk and Komyshuvakha and continue to provide online training.

As always, our team delivers information in an accessible format, tailoring content to the interests of children and teenagers.

This project on protection and psychosocial support for children and their parents is being implemented by the Ukrainian Educational Platform with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
