Water Supply Support for Sumy Region
Three border communities in Sumy Oblast have received assistance from the Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv Charity Foundation and our partner Oxfam. We provided essential equipment and materials needed to maintain the uninterrupted operation of the water supply network, with a total value of 2.3 million UAH.
Specifically, the Svesa Settlement Council in Shostka District received 10 pumps and 2 motor pumps, the Novoslobidska Village Council in Konotop District received 12 pumps, and the Esman Village Council in Shostka District received 6 pumps. Additionally, we delivered pipes and other necessary equipment.
Local authorities emphasize the urgency of this support: constant enemy shelling makes it increasingly difficult to replace damaged equipment, leading to frequent water supply disruptions.
"Given the current conditions in which local residents live, this aid is both timely and crucial, as it ensures access to clean drinking water for our communities," said Olha Harkovenko, head of the Novoslobidska community.
Recently, representatives of the Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv Charity Foundation participated in a coordination meeting organized by the Sumy City Water Utility to discuss further cooperation and support initiatives.
We keep working to ensure people have access to water.
