Support for Children and Parents

The charitable foundation Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv is implementing a project to provide protection and socio-psychological support for children and their parents in the Shevchenkivska community of the Kupiansk district. At our humanitarian center, speech therapists, psychologists, and social workers are available to assist families.

"We place great importance on this work because a stable psychological state positively affects overall health," says Anatolii Chumachenko, coordinator of the Shevchenkivskyi humanitarian center.

The center also offers consultations for displaced persons from other communities in the Kupiansk and Izium districts. Social workers help people apply for financial assistance.

Alina Shemanevska, a resident of Shevchenkove village, visits the center with her son and godchild.

"I learned about the Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv foundation, reached out, and started attending sessions with the children. I am very grateful for the kind and professional approach. You can truly feel the warmth and care for the children. Please continue this important work," she says.

This project is implemented by the Ukrainian Education Platform in collaboration with the Network of Support Centers, with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF) and assistance from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA Ukraine).
