Sumy Strike: Supporting the Affected
One of the Hardest Hits on Sumy: On March 24, around 2:00 PM, a missile struck the city center. Residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens were at the epicenter of the explosion.
The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv charitable foundation is providing assistance to those affected.

"Our team of six is operating in two response hubs set up in the shelters of a children's clinic and an educational institution. We are registering people for multi-purpose cash assistance from our partner, WFP. Additionally, we are distributing family hygiene kits from UNICEF, bottled water, and essential supply backpacks for families with children. Our goal is to reach all those affected," says Olena Putyntseva, head of the Sumy branch of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv foundation.
In the coming days, the response hubs will continue their work. Residents can seek assistance and submit applications regarding damaged property.
As of now, official reports confirm that the number of injured has risen to 101, including 23 children. A total of 51 buildings have been damaged, including 34 apartment blocks and five private homes.
