970 family hygiene kits have been distributed to residents of frontline communities in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. The kits were provided by the team of the Peaceful heaven of Kharkiv Charity Foundation with the support of our partner, the international organization Oxfam.
The kits, containing essential household items such as shampoo, laundry detergent, soap, wipes, cleaning supplies, kitchen products, and more, were distributed in the Malynivska, Pisochynska, Malo-Danylivska, and Iziumska communities of Kharkiv Region, as well as in the Novoslobidska, Trostianetska, Esmanska, and Sveska communities of Sumy Region.
These communities were either occupied or heavily affected by active hostilities and continue to suffer from regular shelling.
Currently, approximately 10,500 people live in the Malynivska community, a third of whom are internally displaced persons, says Valentina Skomorokha, Secretary of the Malynivska Village Council.
"Our community was under occupation, and although it has been liberated, it remains in an area vulnerable to hostilities," she explains. "Charity organizations provide support with food kits and financial aid. However, assistance is still urgently needed."
We continue working to ensure people have access to essential items.
