Caring for Essentials: Hygiene Kits for Sumy Residents and Displaced Persons
The team of the "Myrne heaven Kharkiv" Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the Czech charitable organization "People in Need," distributed hygiene kits for people with disabilities and family kits. This time, the effort was focused on Sumy.
"This assistance is for evacuees from combat zones, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and those living in temporary shelters," said Olena Putyntseva, head of the Sumy branch of the "Myrne heaven Kharkiv" foundation.
For people in difficult circumstances, this support is crucial.
Yana Popova, from the village of Bilovody, moved to Sumy with her two children, one of whom has a disability. "Our house burned down, and we lost everything. We had to relocate. It’s good to have a roof over our heads. Thank you for bringing and delivering everything," she shared.
As part of this project, we operate not only in Sumy but also in the Trostianets and Okhtyrka communities.
To date, 898 kits have been distributed, including 274 kits for people with disabilities and 624 family hygiene kits.
In addition to the distribution, informational lectures are held for residents on the care of people with disabilities and personal hygiene.
We are committed to providing people with the essentials they need.
